Michal Košátko was born in 1983. In the age of two he has moved to Frýdek-Místek. He has one younger brother.

In four years he started to learn skiing in Beskydy mountains and one year later he already read first rows in newspaper like an advance preparation for primary school. In his six years he started to attend the 9th primary school (CZ) in Frýdek. Michal liked foreign languages. Since 3rd class he moved to 3rd primary school in Místek which was specialized to foreign languages especially to German and English. Four years later the education was moved to the 8th primary school (CZ). Except compulsory school attendance Michal had several hobbies.

In the age of 8 he was a member of boy scout club for 1,5 year

On October 27th, 1993 he passed his first Taekwon-do training. This martial art has charmed him so much he has been enduring till today. First two years trainings proceeded twice a week but then Michal started to train six times a week, everyday except Tuesday, on weekends 3 hours per day. In 1995 he gained his first medal - 2nd place in patterns on Czech Republic Championship.

He begun to be interested in computers and IT at the age of 13. That's why his next school education led to Technical secondary school specialized to informatics (CZ). He passed his leaving examination with 5 A marks and was also honoured with the best student of 1994 - 2004 award.

During studying Michal has become the member of Junior Czech National Team. It happened in 1999 and this year he already went to represent Czech Republic on European Championship in Italy. Since this time Michal represents Czech Republic on each European and World Championship (except 2001 when he had a break). All of his achievements you can find in section Achievements.

In 2002 he started to study Technical University in Ostrava (CZ), Faculty of informatics and electrotechnics.

Michal has many hobbies he fills free time with. Among them we can mention foreign languages especially English, German, and Spanish, he is able to read in Korean a little bit, photography, guitar playing, swimming, biking, and music. Michal's favourite artists are especially IneKafe, System of a Down, Nelly Furtado, Rammstein as well as Vanessa Mae, Yann Tiersen, Carla Bruni, Lisa Loeb, Serj Tankian, Chilly Friday or Katie Melua.
